My series, Shadow Falls, invites the viewer into a beautiful and mystical world where I explore masculinity, identity and belonging through photographing the male form within the unique milieu of a clothing-optional queer campsite nestled in the British Columbia mountains. Against the heteronormative backdrop of traditional camping culture, Shadow Falls emphasizes the need for queer communities to have a haven where they can live authentically and fully embrace their identities without fear or judgment. Like fae in the forest, hidden from the sight of humans, Shadow Falls is where their kingdom is.
